Pastoral Council for Saint Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish

Kristine Deiss – Pastoral Council Secretary and Finance Committee Liaison

I consider myself a “Barton Girl” as I was born and raised here and attended St. Mary’s Grade School.  Actually, I have a connection with all three parishes as my three daughters graduated from Saint Frances Cabrini and two of my five grandchildren attend Holy Angels School.  God has led me down paths I never thought of going but He knows best.  I am retired from Washington County after serving 30 years in the court system with 15 of those years as the elected Clerk of Courts.  I have served on the City of West Bend Common Council and was West Bend’s first woman Mayor and held office from 2007-2011.  I presently hold the position of County Board Supervisor for District 1 and am in my 3rd term.  This past spring I was elected as 2nd Vice Chair of the County Board.  Another first for a woman!  It’s a bit obvious that I am a “politician” and that’s the path I never saw!  He has also led me on the path to being a member of our Parish Council and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.  He knows best where my talents lie, and I will continue to follow where He leads.

Jean Franke- Liaison to Prayer and Worship

My name is Jean Franke and I’ve been married to Steve for 46 years.   We have one daughter and 2 grandsons who live in Florida. Steve and I were married in 1972 at Holy Trinity in Newburg and  our daughter was baptized at St. Mary’s in  Barton 1976. A few years later in 1981 Steve’s job moved us out of state and we were gone for 35 years. I’ve been a Eucharistic Minister in various parishes and have attended a Christ Renews His Parish Women’s Retreat weekend.  Retirement and family recently brought us back to West Bend and we have rejoined St. Mary’s.   I am new to the Pastoral Council and look forward to growing my faith with the St. Mary’s family.

 Jacqueline Wulff

My name is Jacqueline, and I am sure you have seen my husband and I wrangling our 2 (soon to be 3) children at Mass.  We are fairly new to this parish community, and excited to be a part of such a welcoming & warm family! My husband Bryan is a Toolmaker, while I have spent my life caring for children, as well as a wide variety of animals. My daily life is baking bread, handling diapers in record time, and looking to Mother Mary for just about everything.

Come say hello after Mass! I look forward to getting to know all of our parishioners and their thoughts, so we can better serve our community.
